In addition to wine tastings we offer a quality vineyard restaurant, wine sales on our premises, a meeting venue and a weekly farmers’ market. You can also buy our wines online.

Artisan Wines Oratia vineyard is one of the closest vineyards to central Auckland. We are just 25 minutes’ drive from Auckland city at 99 Parrs Cross Rd, Oratia.

Single vineyard wines

Our wines are all hand-crafted and produced in small batches from single vineyards.

Artisan’s wine is sold both in New Zealand and abroad and has won numerous local and international awards.

Proud family vineyard heritage

Wine is in our blood. The Sunde family, which has its roots in Croatia, has a long tradition of producing quality hand-made wine. Our story began with the arrival of teenagers Philip and Dick Sunde to New Zealand in the early 1900s.  For over 100 years the Sunde family has farmed in this beautiful Oratia valley.

Organic wines

Our ongoing commitment to the environment has been recognised with organic certification for all four of our Auckland vineyards.

Oratia Farmers Market

Our farmers’ market held every Saturday at Artisan Wines is extremely popular. Sited at our vineyard next to our cellar door, it features 30-35 stalls selling fresh locally grown or New Zealand-produced produce, oil, fish, meat, breads and preserves. .

Hire a table for eight people for just $10 or bring a blanket and sit on the grass. You can bring your picnic or get a platter from Artisan.

The Oratia Farmers Market
The market is open every Saturday morning 9 am to 12 pm, rain, hail or shine. Come to the market for the best in local produce, breads, fish, meats, cheeses and much more.

T.G.I.F. and WAPAS
Extended hours on Fridays.
OPEN until 8pm. Pop in on your way from work, gather your friends and unwind in our beautiful vineyard setting, have a drink and some Wapas ( Westie Tapas)
