FEATURED WINE

Flora is a cross between Gewurztraminer and Semillon. This robust pink skinned variety ripens very well in Oratia and is ideal for production of naturally sweet wines. The nose is liquorice all sorts, ginger and a hint of honey. The entry is sweet with lovely crisp acid on the finish. A perfect wine to accompany a cheeseboard or as an aperitif on a lazy summers’ day. Serve chilled and drink young.

The Oratia Valley, and our west Auckland environs are rich in history and culture. Our menu reflects the food of our region.  Where possible we source ingredients from suppliers to the Oratia Farmers' Market, local producers and organic farmers. Our herbs are picked daily from our own herb garden for the freshest possible flavours.

  • Summer Lunch Menu

    Full lunch menu available Thursday – Sunday.

    • Bread with extra virgin olive oil and either balsamic vinegar or garlic and herbs (for two)

    • Black Bean and Sweet Bell Pepper Salad
      With lettuce, feta, olives, capers and a lightly spiced cumin and mint vinaigrette. $19.500

      A classic chilled chicken salad dish originating from Shanghai with sesame noodles and grilled Asian eggplant. $22.00

      Roasted, then marinated overnight, sliced and served cold with a warm grill of summer vegetables, pickled radish, shredded nori and marinade sauce. $24.00

    • Spring Lamb
      With caramelised onions, herbs and feta, baked in vine leaves and a warm salad of pan fried potatoes, olives, tomatoes and lemon mustard dressing. $24.00

      Assorted cured meats and pate, with our Chef’s own marinated olives, dips and pickled vegetables. Served with fresh bread and crostini.

    • 'Kauri Ridge' Vegetarian Antipasto Platter (for two): $35
      Selected Artisan dips, an assortment of grilled, marinated, pickled and fresh vegetables, nuts and dried fruits. Served with fresh bread and crostini.
