Landmark Late Harvest Riesling 2008

Palate:
A strongly fruit driven wine with hints of botrytis influence. The initial sweet entry is well balanced with crisp acidity and a refreshingly dry finish. The wine is succulent but not cloying with excessive residual sugar.

Suggested Food Match:
Perfect complement to cheese, pate and fruit platters. Serve lightly chilled.

The Oratia Valley, and our west Auckland environs are rich in history and culture. Our menu reflects the food of our region. Where possible we source ingredients from suppliers to the Oratia Farmers' Market, local producers and organic farmers. Our herbs are picked daily from our own herb garden for the freshest possible flavours.

  • Winter Lunch Menu

Full lunch menu available Thursday – Sunday.

    • Bread with avocado oil and either balsamic vinegar or garlic and herbs (for two). $5.00

    • Pita Pockets with garlic butter and blue cheese filling (for two). $7.50

    • Bread and dips with Goose Creek olive oil, avocado oil, our own dukkah and freshly made Artisan dips (for two). $15.00

      Roasted winter vegetables with chick peas simmered in vegetable stock and served on stir fried asian greens with a szechuan carrot sauce. $22.00

Should you be looking for a wine match for our platters, we suggest the  light, fruity and  aromatic wines like our Pinot Gris, Sauvignon blanc, Gewurztraminer or Flora.

The adult platters are prepared for two people, however, we are happy to prepare platters for one or three. Please ask our wait staff if you have any special requests.

Our four platters are named after our four Oratia vineyards.

    • 'Tara' Cheese Platter: $38
      A selection of boutique New Zealand cheeses and condiments. Served with fresh bread, crostini, crackers, seasonal fruit and nuts.

    • 'Fantail Island' Antipasto Platter: $38
      Assorted cured meats and pate, with our Chef’s own marinated olives, dips and pickled vegetables. Served with fresh bread and crostini.

    • 'Kauri Ridge' Vegetarian Antipasto Platter: $38
      Selected Artisan dips, an assortment of grilled, marinated, pickled and fresh vegetables, nuts and dried fruits. Served with fresh bread and crostini.

    • 'Over the Road' Ploughman's Platter: $45
      Assorted cured meats, boutique cheese, pickle, dips, and fresh salad greens. Served with fresh bread and crostini.

    • Junior Platter $12
      Cherios, cheese, carrot sticks, honey hummus dip, raisins, bread, cookies and fresh fruit.

    • Junior Pizza $10
      Cheese, bacon, pineapple and tomato.
  • Desserts:

    • Decadent Chocolate Brownie with cream/icecream. $9.00
